17 - Tetzaveh - Moshe & Aharon - Invisibility and Attribution- Fourth Aliyah
Speaker:   Hauer, Rabbi Moshe
Series: Weekly Parsha Shiur, 5773 - Parsha Plan
Lecture Details:  In the fourth aliyah (section) of Parshas Tetzaveh, Moshe Rabbeinu is instructed regarding the different offerings that should be brought after the construction of the mishkan was completed. However, Moshe's name is not mentioned throughout the entire Parsha. This anonymity is similar to Megillas Esther, where Hashem's name is not mentioned at all. In the megillah, Esther relates Mordechai's discovery to Achashveirosh in Mordechai's name, which led to the geulah (redemption). Geulah is about attribution, when we recognize the source of everything. As the most humble of men, Moshe consistently did not want anything to be attributed to him, but rather put all of the emphasis on Hashem, and on his desire not to usurp his brother Aharon as leader.
