Tetzaveh 5777 - The Creation of the Mishkan's Light - 1st Aliyah
Speaker:   Hauer, Rabbi Moshe
Series: Weekly Parsha Shiur 5777 - Parsha Plan
Lecture Details:  In the first aliyah of Parshas Tetzaveh, we begin with two sentences about the Menorah and then go on to discuss the holy clothes of the Kohanim (priests). Why is it so important to mention about the Menorah here? The menorah represents the light of Hashem, which is the light system that fills the mishkan. This light is compared to the light which Hashem created in the 6 Days of Creation. We discuss why olive oil is specifically used to light the Menorah, and why the lighting of the Menorah comes along with ketores (spice offering).
