In this shiur we look at the next three of the Shir Ha-Maalos'. Chapter 129 in Tehillim is
another prayer of the Jewish People in exile. This Mizmor teaches us an important concept in coping with the ongoing difficulties of exile. Chapter 130 in Tehillim, "Mi'maamakim", is one of the classic mizmorai Tehillim that is said in times of difficulty. Is this mizmor addressing the individual in his time of need? Or is it addressing the Jewish People as a whole in thier time of difficulty? Chapter 131 in Tehillim shows how we are supposed to learn the lessons of Dovid's life and apply them to our own lives. |
