Chapter 114 is also part of Hallel. In this shiur, we look at the basic obligation to say Hallel. Is this a Torah obligation? Or a Rabbinical obligation? What is the basic nature of this obligation? In chapter 114, we thank G-d for helping us during the entire process of leaving Egypt. Chapter 115 is also part of Hallel. The theme of this chapter of Tehillim is how G-d constantly helps us throughout the generations. The Psalmist examines how the spiritual conflict between Israel and the Nations plays a part in why G-d helps us. Chapter 116 in Tehillim is about the conflict between Dovid and his opponents. We see how Dovid came to realize that one can only rely on G-d.
