Tehillim ch. 107 and 108
Speaker:   Wittenstein, Rabbi Avrohom
Series: Tehillim
Lecture Details:  Chapter 107 in Tehillim is about the four times a person is obligated to bring a Toda sacrifice. Who are the, "Ones that G-d has redeemed", that the Psalmist is referring to? How does understanding this key phrase affect how we understand the basic structure of the Mizmor? Why does the Psalmist refer to a sick person who recovered as, "an evil person"? How does the conclusion of the Mizmor which talks about, "the One Who turns rivers into desert", fit in with the rest of the Mizmor? Chapter 108 in Tehillim is a repeat of chapters 57 and 60. Why are these chapters repeated here? Why are these chapters combined?
